Vibe Test in N.C.
Over the last few years, we’ve made North Carolina a second-home. At first it was my in-law’s tradition to visit at least once a year, but soon it became the place where my girls experienced a number of ‘First’s. First trip outside of home. First time experiencing fall. First time seeing snow. And the list goes on. Therefore…this place holds a special piece of our hearts.
On this latest trip, I also had a first. At our routine thrifting-leg of the trip, I came across a Canon SureShot AF35M II for a whopping $35. Up until then, I had never used a film cameral, let alone owned one. So I figured, for $25 even if it was trash…I could live with it. I made a pit-stop at Target to get a couple rolls of Fujifilm 200 and see what verdict was.
Though the roll provides 36 shots, it took me a bit to figure out the camera controls resulting in some throwaways. But about a quarter through, I was able to get a few decent shots. What you’ll see below represents a day around Hendersonville as well as a few shots of our family house with some light, unexpected snow.
Consider the film-bug ingested…
